Display enhanced duties and tax breakdown

If you are a Shopify Plus merchant, you have access to Shopify's "Extensibility" feature which lets the Zonos plugin offer additional features that plug into the Shopify checkout UI.

Using Shopify Extensibility, you can add the Zonos Duty Tax Plus Features app block to your Checkout. This feature allows you to separate the shipping total from the duty and tax total at checkout, and display enhanced delivery time estimates and special messaging to your international shoppers.

Understanding the breakdown 

When enabled, the enhanced duties and tax breakdown will expand the selected shipping option to display the duties and taxes separately from the shipping cost. Shoppers will be able to see a breakdown of the shipping cost, duties, taxes, and transit time before they complete their purchase.

Additionally, a message indicating that no extra costs are needed at the door (DDP) or that extra costs may be required at the door (DDU) will be displayed.

Adding the extension 

To add the Zonos Duty Tax Plus Features app block to your Checkout, you will need to enable the features in the Zonos app settings and then add the app block to your Checkout.

Removing the extension 

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings -> Checkout -> Customize.
2. Click on the Zonos Duty Tax Plus Features option in the checkout module list.
3. Click the Remove app from checkout button on the left-hand side of the page.
4. Click Save to apply changes to your checkout profile.
