As a qualified party with CBP, Zonos will invoice you directly to collect duties and postal clearance fees for U.S.-bound postal shipments valued under $2,500 USD.
Zonos charges the card on file only after your parcels are inducted into the postal stream, then remits the duties to CBP. Charging after induction means you're billed only for parcels that are actually shipped, not for labels that are created but never sent. Charges are batched and auto-billed daily.
This billing flow applies to every Verified Account shipment, whether you create labels through a supported platform, the Zonos Dashboard, or the Zonos API.
The postal clearance fee is listed in your Zonos Dashboard under Settings → Billing, in the Plan section.
Delinquent payments
If your card expires or is invalid, you'll receive an email with a secure link to pay your outstanding balance. When you pay, the new payment method is saved to your account and used for future auto-charges.
If outstanding invoices remain unpaid, your Verified Account will be deactivated and you won't be able to create Japan Post labels until your balance is settled.
View, download, and filter invoices
To view your invoice:
Go to Dashboard → Invoices.
Click the invoice.
To export a CSV of your invoice:
Go to Dashboard → Invoices.
Click the invoice.
Click Generate report in the top right of the page.
To export a PDF of your invoice:
Go to Dashboard → Invoices.
Click the invoice.
Click Invoice PDF in the top right of the page.
Find the invoice in your Downloads folder.
To view shipments that have not yet been invoiced:
Go to Dashboard → Invoices.
Click Generate pending shipments report in the top right to export a CSV of shipments that have not been invoiced.
To filter invoices, toggle between statuses (Paid, Open, Past due, and Void) and apply additional filters by total amount and date.

Total
The total amount billed for this shipment, including duty and clearance fees.
